Biomass flow is maximized with the Airoflex biomass receiving hopper.
Airoflex Equipment offers a specialized above-grade biomass receiving hopper suited specifically to biomass handling. This hopper is fully compatible with an Airoflex extended arm truck dumper or trailer tipper. Because dry bulk material handling may result in a “no-flow” condition when unloading from a truck trailer, operating efficiency is not always at its highest. With the addition of spike rolls on the Airoflex hopper, biomass material flow is greatly enhanced. This makes the receiving process flow with ease. The spike roll is fitted within the receiving hopper, which is used to break up large clumps of material. When the driver backs the trailer into position, the load empties onto a full live-floor chain deck, moving biomass material to reclaim position.
Airoflex’ bolted hopper design minimizes the need for field welding which results in lower installation costs. With safe operation and continued maintenance practices, our robust hoppers are engineered to have many years of trouble-free operation and lower lifetime operational costs. Another feature of Airoflex receiving hoppers is a hood, which contains and suppresses dust emission. This ensures maximum environmental protection.
The standard Airoflex above grade hopper is designed to integrate with our extended arm truck dumper or trailer tipper. To best suit our customer’s needs, Airoflex can configure a hopper using our modular accessories to suit any number of receiving applications, thus our standard hopper can be upgraded to handle the complex nature of biomass fuel supply.
